Who I am
About
Between engineering, artificial intelligence and theology: a career built across two continents, over more than 25 years.
Career
My career spans two continents and more than 25 years: from information security and business continuity work in Brazil, including disaster recovery planning for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, to leading IT strategy, cyber security and artificial intelligence initiatives in Sydney. Along the way, I coordinated a corporate OT cyber security programme spanning more than 150 stakeholders, integrating Digital Twin technology into critical infrastructure environments. Today, at Netstrata, I lead AI initiatives that already shape decisions, operations and customer experience, alongside teaching cyber security and AI to Bachelor's and Master's students.
Academic Path & Research
That technical and executive path runs alongside an unusual academic one: a Master of Applied Artificial Intelligence from Deakin University, ranked among the world's top 1% of universities, more than 30 professional certifications across governance, cloud, networking and security, and now a Bachelor of Theology in progress. It is from that combination, engineering, applied AI and philosophical and theological reflection on knowledge, that my central research interest emerges: understanding how artificial intelligence challenges, expands or creates tension within human ways of knowing, deciding, interpreting and seeking wisdom, in technical, organisational and existential contexts.
